SAT resistance melting furnace
SAT resistance melting furnaces are used for melting low-melting non-ferrous metals and their alloys such as:
- ZAM alloys (zinc-aluminum-copper) with a melting temperature of 400-500 ° C.
Aluminum melts at a temperature of 1000 ° C, the melting temperature of copper reaches 1250 ° C.
Melting furnaces of this type are also capable of maintaining a predetermined melt temperature prior to casting into molds.
The design of such furnaces includes a collapsible casing. Fast access to crucible and heating elements reduces repair and maintenance time.

Structurally, the electric furnace is made of a steel welded structure; the lining is made of high-performance fiber refractories.
In the construction of the furnace energy efficient materials are used:
- Ceramic fiber blocks;
- Refractory fiber materials
The use of new types of refractory materials reduces the time required for melting and energy consumption per kilogram of melted metal and increases energy efficiency. A crucible is located inside the chamber.
Most often, metal or graphite crucibles are used, which are covered with a coating that prevents contamination of the molten metal and allows to increase the service life of the crucible.
SAT melting furnace construction
Crucible melting electric furnaces of the SAT type are equipped with an inclination, which makes it possible to simplify the process of pouring metal into molds. The design of the furnace assumes convenient replacement of the crucible and heaters. The melting unit is rotated by hydraulic cylinders. To control the temperature, a thermal converter is provided, the control body with indication is placed on the front panel of the control cabinet. The furnace cooling system is air, water is not used.

An assembly drawing of the melting unit will be provided for approval. Delivery of the crucible in a set is possible after approval of the design.
Electric furnace SAT 0.3 – 0.16 – 0.07, 0.15 – 0.25 – 0.2 – 250
The chamber (bath) resistance melting furnace SAT is much larger in terms of the volume of the metal being melted. The use of bath stoves is caused by technological necessity. The bath is made of special high temperature refractory concrete. To protect against splash of molten metal, the heaters are hidden in ceramic tubes. For the convenience of pouring molten metal, the bath furnace is equipped with a mechanical tilt.
